What cause Diabetes ?

Diabetes is a number of diseases that involve problems with the hormone insulin. Normally, the pancreas (an organ behind the stomach) releases insulin to help your body store and use the sugar and fat from the food you eat. Diabetes can occur when the pancreas produces very little or no insulin, or when the body does not respond appropriately to insulin.

Overweight / Obesity

Carrying extra weight, especially in your belly, makes your cells more resistant to the effects of insulin on your blood sugar.

Unhealthy diet

A diet high in fat, calories, and cholesterol increases your risk of diabetes. A poor diet can lead to obesity and other health problems.

Stress induces a fight or flight response in our body, and that elevates cortisol And undermines bodies ability to control insulin and blood glucose

Physical inactivity

Physical inactivity alone is estimated to cause 7% of the burden of type 2 diabetes in the European Region.
